Pierre Robert holds a law degree from the Université Catholique Louvain (1998) and a degree in communication and media from the Ghent University (1999). He is a member of the Brussels Bar since 1999.
He has been recognized as a specialist in foreigners’ law by the Bar Association and practices all aspects of this legal field (in particular asylum, family reunification, regularization, economic migration, nationality, etc.).
He has brought several important cases before national and international courts, including:
- Before the Court of Justice of the European Union
- Ruiz Zambrano v. Onem (CJEU, 8.3.2011, C-34/09), on European citizenship;
- X. v. the Belgian State (CJEU, 7.3.2017, C-638/16), concerning humanitarian visas
- Before the European Court of Human Rights
- Singh a.o. v. Belgium (ECHR, 2.10.2012, 33210/11), concerning the examination of asylum application and the obligations of asylum authorities in that respect
- Before the Constitutional Court
- Judgment 121/2013 of 26.9.2013, with regard to the law of 8 July 2011 modifying the rules for family reunification
Judgement no. 23/2021 of 25.02.2021 regarding the laws of 21 November 2017 and 17 December 2017 on the reform of the asylum procedure.
- Before the Council of State,
- Judgement no. 243.306 of 20.12.2018 regarding the quotas on asylum applications.
Judgement no. 249.163 of 07.12.2020 regarding videoconferencing in asylum hearings.
Pierre Robert has also written several articles, such as:

Justine VAN EDOM

Justine Van Edom has first obtained her bachelor in Law in both French and Dutch from the Catholic University of Leuven and the Saint-Louis University in Brussels. She then obtained her master’s degree in Law from the Catholic University of Leuven. Afterwards, she completed her education with a specialization master in human rights from the Saint-Louis University in Brussels.
She was admitted to the Brussels Bar in October 2020 and practices primarily foreigner’s law.
Cedric D'HONDT

Cedric D’Hondt holds a law degree from KU Leuven (2017) and completed his studies in 2018 with the Arab Master in Democracy and Human Rights at the Saint-Joseph University in Beirut.
With a keen interest in human rights, Cedric conducted an internship at the EU Delegation in Cairo, before joining the Cairo Institute for Human Rights Studies in the summer of 2019.
He was admitted to the Brussels Bar in November 2021.
